The orchestra has collaborated with many world-renowned Chinese composers. In 2018, two concerts named “Music Contemporary from China 2018 - World Premiere of Works by Composers of the Central Conservatory of Music” were staged at Lincoln Center in New York, the cultural capital of the USA. The program encompassed new works composed by the famous composition professors of CCOM, and won high praise from NYC’s music lovers. In December 2019, the orchestra was invited to return to NYC and perform at the historic, legendary Carnegie Hall, to perform a concert of Chinese contemporary orchestral premiers, once again providing a rich musical feast to American audiences.

At the gala celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the National Day of People's Republic of China on October 1, 2019, as one of the chief groups of the “Thousand People Symphony Orchestra”, CCOM Symphony Orchestra was invited by the National Day’s Celebration Ceremony Headquarter to perform at Tian’anmen Square. This performance demonstrated the orchestra’s level of skill and artistry to audiences all over the world.

As the only one professional symphony orchestras affiliated with a higher institution in China, the CCOM Symphony Orchestra actively responds to the Ministry of Education’s dedication to Introducing Elegant Arts to School. With themes of “approaching maestros, feeling classics, cultivating sentiments, and improving accomplishment”, the orchestra has performed a multitude of classical masterpieces for dozens of higher institutions all over the country, receiving great acclaim from its audiences.

The concerts performed by CCOM Symphony Orchestra always resonate deeply among musical communities. Ranked as one of the most influential symphony orchestras in China, the CCOM Symphony Orchestra continues to present new musical energies for its dear audience through high-quality musical performances.
